Destination: Subic

Just thought I'd share a few photos that I took on a recent trip to Subic. Just a few hours north of Manila, it's a great weekend getaway.
If you find yourself with a free
weekend while in Manila, this might be a good spot for you to
visit, relax, and unwind. Whet your appetite with these photos.

|
| The North Luzon Expressway
now hosts gas stations with varied restaurants for the
traveller who'd want to stretch his legs, grab a snack on the way, or even
just stop for a
restroom break! |
Subic abounds with beaches. This beach, right beside a local restaurant, is a
great place to swim, walk around, or even jetski! |
|

|

|
| This is a typical duplex unit
rented out to vacationers. Formerly houses of US officers when
Subic was still a naval base, these have central
airconditioning, hot and cold water, 3 fully furnished
bedrooms, and a completely equipped kitchen. |
Step outside the house
to find glimpses of the mountains and forests of trees that
make you feel in tune with nature. |
|

|

|
| Take a brisk morning
stroll in the smoothly paved roads, and rejuvenate yourself
from the city rut. |
For every bargain
conscious Filipino, could shopping be far from their minds?
Check out the duty free shops where you can buy clothes... |
|

|

|
| Groceries.. |
Or an assortment of
both, and anything and everything in between. |
|

|

|
| The virtually
traffic-free streets of SBMA, where traffic rules are
strictly obeyed and implemented, inspire us that this is
possible in the Philippines. |
While driving
around, you just might chance upon families of monkeys
littering the sides of the roads. Be sure to take a picture.
But be careful, they might bite! |
|

|
|
| More monkeys.. |
And some more
monkeys! |
Take an Ocean Adventure!
