A dessert enthusiast at heart, Karen Young started as a hobbyist/home baker as a teenager. She took Cake Decorating classes with ICES teacher, Frances Salazar, while she was living abroad and since then, continued to pursue her passion for desserts experientially through dessert trips, research, lessons, books, and most of all, endless hours experimenting in her kitchen. It was there that she fine-tuned the recipes that would one day become her bestsellers. Her clientele has been built up from word-of-mouth advertising.

After taking the Ventures in Entrepreneurship course at the Asian Institute of Management, Karen set up her commissary in Makati City in 2003.

Her pastries can be found in local restaurants & coffee shops. These have been featured in culinary magazines like Baking Press, Yummy Magazine, and have been praised by Chef Reggie Aspiras, popular food writer/blogger Lori Baltazar, and other online bloggers.
